Art washes away the dust of everyday living."Pablo Picasso

Welcome to my webspace.

I was born into the vastness and big sky of the Prairies, and from a young age had a passion for the creative process which can lead to self discovery.

I enjoy using the simple elements of color and form to express the harmonies, contrasts and conflicts in our lives. I am often stimulated by accidents on the canvas or printing press.

At times it is the power of words that is connected to this tactile process of art-making, and then the piece becomes a method of recording my story; some work has a certain boldness to express the human body.

My inspiration comes from journaling, photography, life experiences, and an appreciation for the creativity of others.

My training in art therapy, teaching mandala painting, and my own art has led me to believe in the rejuvenating , transforming and healing power of art for both the artist and observer.

I work in various media including watercolor, printmaking, handmade paper and acrylic.

My aspiration for art-making is to invite the viewer into my vision; and perhaps provide a moment of calm, or an opportunity to raise questions for contemplation.

I have exhibited in a variety of venues, and it particularly pleases me to see my work in care homes, and private collections.
